Above are some pictures of Sunday’s seminar of the Brazilian Architecture Weekend. Apologies for the late post. The seminar was a great success integrating the participants of the RAW exhibition with guests like Gian Luca Amadei from BluePrint magazine and world famous architect and urbanist Jaime Lerner.

The Brazilian Architecture Weekend is an interactive and open-for-all two days event from 21st to 22nd of June. The Embassy of Brazil will host the opening of the Brazilian Architecture exhibition “RAW”, curated by the architect Ricardo de Ostos, as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2008 Embassies Project on the 21st of June. The event will count with the presence of exhibitors and invited architects and will be a fantastic opportunity to interact with established and up-and-coming talents in Brazilian architecture. Among the exciting array of participants the exhibition will include names such as the 2006 Pritzker Prize winner Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Recife’s Metro + Juliano Dubeux, Fernando Maculan from Belo Horizonte, London/Sao Paulo/New York based SUBdiv, Igor de Vetyemy from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo’s Brasil Arquitetura and London’s NaJa&deOstos.
The Brazilian Architecture Weekend the Embassy of Brazil will also host a programme of seminars on Sunday the 22nd of June. The event will be opened by the Brazilian Ambassador to the UK, Carlos Augusto R. Santos-Neves, and will include Brazilian and international speakers. The seminar guest of honour, Jaime Lerner, renowned architect and urban planner and former governor of the Brazilian state of Paraná, will participate of the talks and presentations, as well as the Brazilian exhibition’s curator, Ricardo de Ostos, exhibiting architects and London based professionals, with a focus on the future of Brazilian cities and buildings.
